Over the past month, I’ve been receiving emails from members of this website.
Why is my email address being shared here, and how has it become available to members of this website? When I registered here over a year ago, I did check the little box that allows others to view my email address, so how is it people have access to it?I’ve received several emails from Kevin Grant, and something else from David Secondino soliciting donations for some charity.

Just recently…me too. I double checked my profile and the box definitely says “No“.

03/24/2011 at 1:54 pm #1945312Well…. being paranoid, I went into panic mode and spent the last hour and a half checking code, settings, databases and logs to see if users’ email addresses are being made public. I am quite sure that they are not.
Just an observation… A 15 second search on Google turned up your email address.
03/24/2011 at 2:00 pm #1945313I still say geocaching.com is just a hoax and another way for big brother to be watching you. If you don’t believe me just look up next time you are out caching and give them a big smile. It will be in your “permanent file” then.

Just a second observation……in my experience people who are always super paranoid and accusatory are usually doing stuff they would not want their mom to know about.

What do you think the Hubble Telescope is “Really” Taking pictures of?? If it can take pictures of stars millions of light years away,ya don’t think it can’t see what brand of tuna you just opened??
