FTF Geocacher magazine published its premiere issue in January 2010, and since then the bimonthly magazine has produced so far a total of 7 issues. Issue 7 is the current issue, and issues 2 through 6 are still available to order as back issues. HOWEVER, issue #1 was sold out long ago. The good news – I found out today – is that it is the only issue that is available for FREE at their website as a PDF download. If you were curious about the only magazine available (I think) for geocachers, check it out now for free while you can. It’s excellent. You can download the 36-page PDF at
Featured articles include:
– You Gotta Be Kidding Me: Creative Cache Containers
– Geocaching on School Grounds
– Encountering the Unexpected: When a Cache Search Turns Up More than a Smiley

All of the other issues are available in print only, not as PDF’s. I think they’re GREAT reading!
How funny! I actually just submitted an article to them about half an hour ago. I have no idea if it was good enough to be published, we’ll see. I got my first issue a couple of weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. My favorite part was the picture on the back cover. If you want to see it go to the pictures for the cache GCTPDX. The cache container is great! I will have to check out the free online issue since that isn’t the one that I just got.
