In an effort to provide efficient and easily accessible coordinate downloads we appreciate any feedback that you may have. Please take time to let us know how you loaded your coordinates last year. When responding consider the event as starting at noon on Friday.

We were still using pen and paper. Can’t wait to do this paperless this year!

Thank you to everyone who responded to the poll. Although the response was small it was helpful in deciding which way to go when releasing the coordinates for the new caches. The new caches will be published at approxiamately midnight the night before the event begins. You will still need to register when the event begins at noon on Friday and get your booklet for stamping. A formal announcement will be made as the event draws nearer and everyone is signed up.

Just wondering, if the caches are published at midnight, but the event doesn’t begin until noon, are there cachers out there claiming the FTFs prior to noon? Or does everybody wait until noon before starting to search? Not that it really matters, but it would be kind of cool to get an FTF at an event like this.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

The caches have a stamp inside that must be used on the Cash Bash score card, as proof that you were there. If you want an FTF, but no credit for the Mega, I guess that’s a personal preference. Or you can find them without a score card and log the Mega. But you need to REGISTER at the Mega sign-in to get a score card for stamping at each cache.

Loading at home saves the time of loading at the Mega. You can register and head out right away.

We got 3 FTFs at the first and 1 at the 2nd. I guess that’s kinda special! 🙂

There were only a small amount of the caches found before the event started and mostly by local West bend cachers who wanted a FTF. You do need your book if you want to be eligible for prizes. I would guess that by mid afternoon on Friday many of the caches will have been found.

One thing to note though is that the caches are even spread out further than last year and require much more hiking.

those that wish to find the first to find are just making it easier for those that wish to try for prizes.tamp the book. and log sheet. but then to their are those that know where the locations are to return to stamp later.
so thanks for making it easier for the rest of us.
