Last weekend we went to the McKenzie Enrironmental Education Center in Poynette. We really enjoyed it. The walk through the woods was so nice with the fall colors. The kids loved seeing the animals in their enclosures. While I was there I was thinking this place could use some more caches. I’m too far away to maintain one but if there is anyone in the area… Also, we went on their Haunted Hayride and had such a blast! If you’re nearby consider going next year.

Oops, I should probably give you a way to check out the area, right? Well here’s the only cache that we ended up finding there:

There used to be more caches there. I see that they have been archived. Bummer one was a nice multi. The center is a really cool place. Our cub scout pack camps there once a year. We were there this year during maple syrup time. Sure smelled good while they were making it.

Ah, the memories…summer camp there twice in high school. Neat place! It is a reasonable drive for me, so if I get down that way I would enjoy seeing the area again and visiting any caches. Maybe there will be new ones by then. Thanks for the tip about a place I had forgotten!
