This just came across my Facebook from our local news. A man was treed for a couple hours because of a mamma bear and 3 cubs, in Merrill.

Thought caters would want to be aware.

I had to laugh when I read the head line on facebook “Bear traps Merrill hunter in tree for hours”
Just noticed spell check changed cachers to caters… Lol.
You know what I meant.

We have a bear up on our property up north. So far we haven’t run into problems but I’m always a little nervous when we walk the property, especially with the kids. I think my husband likes the excuse to bring his handgun along.

Might be a big reason those up north out of the way caches get so many fewer finds. Cachers get eaten before they can log them 😉
Awareness in the woods is always necessary. Noise and traveling with a partner helps also, but then don’t expect to see the critters.
