I’ve noticed an error on a map in the Milwaukee County area. When you bring up a certain area on the geocache map, it shows an icon of a green fir tree that is labeled “George Hanson Golf Course” — but that golf course is not located there.
Where and how do I report this error?

Since the map that shows the geocaches (the one I’m assuming you’re looking at) is a Google map, I would think you would have to contact Google Maps. GC just uses what is given to them as far as the map goes.

You might have to have the original Google map of the area rather than the GC one with all the caches on it. Just search for “Google maps” and put in Milwaukee or something close to find your specific spot.

Thanks for the info. The problem is indeed with the source map from Google. I have reported the problem to them and they have already replied. We’ll see how long it takes before they are actually able to fix the problem.
In case you were wondering, the REAL location for George Hanson Golf can be seen on the map for geocache GC83BB. The incorrect location (about 3 miles SW of real location) is shown on the map for geocache GC399TR — you have to zoom in to the see the incorrect label.
So I have now learned about reporting map errors. Thank you.
