Hello to any of you who remember us. I wanted to quick pop in and say hello to our old friends. We are out here in Williston, ND working our butts off and enjoying living right in the middle of the craziness of the oil boom. Geocaching here sucks bad, not many people geocache, and we don’t really have the time to partake.
We are expecting our first child in April, and are really excited for that.
How is everybody doing?? We have not forgotten you! We will be back in Wisco in a few weeks, hoping to grab a few caches while we are home.
Keep on Caching!

01/11/2012 at 4:27 am #1955901Rockin’ in the Bakken? Sounds crazy out there! 🙂
01/11/2012 at 4:28 am #1955902A geobaby! Congratulations.

01/11/2012 at 5:28 am #1955903I stopped at Rush Lake Bullhead City and saw you were home in November dropping a few TBs.
Question, was there a dino toy attached to the signal travel tag? there was when I grabbed it but there was no indication that it should have been.
Weird….Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.

Jstajlr is doing a fine job of tending your caches.
Stay in touch!
01/11/2012 at 11:39 am #1955905Good to hear from you and congratulations on the baby! 😀
01/11/2012 at 11:51 pm #1955906Yes Pete, there was a dinosaur attached to that travel bug…that was a weird one, I think someone just attached something to it so it was not just a tag.
Yep, Rockin the Bakken….it is absolute insanity out here. $3,000 a month for a three bedroom apartment, $1,800 to rent an RV in somebodies backyard. People are even paying $200/night to live in the hotels, thats 6 grand a month, and every hotel is booked solid for months and months. New hotels are completely booked for a year before they are even built. People living in the walmart parking lot. The walmart shelves are always picked bare. It’s very interesting to say the least. Nowhere else are the wealthy homeless, just because there is no housing to be found.
Cannot wait to escape back to Wisconsin for a few days, will be great!
JimandLinda, I see that Dave is doing a great job maintaining our old caches, and we really appreciate that!
01/12/2012 at 1:09 am #1955907Congratulations on the soon-to-be new addition to the family! Glad things are going well for you up there. North Dakota gets a bad rap…we enjoyed visiting a few different parts of it last fall.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

Yeah, we are super fortunate that my company has provided us a place to live. My wife works at a staffing company here in town and housing is the major issue for filling jobs. McDonalds is starting at $16 per hour. There are unlimited jobs available.
01/12/2012 at 2:27 pm #1955910I’ve only done a couple of caches in North Dakota but the ones that I did are all on my favorites list. 🙂 Have you driven the Enchanted Highway? We only did the one that intersects with the interstate but I would have loved to see more. The one that I did was GCWVN6.
