A job well done!!
This past Saturday May 5th, approximately 20 geocachers helped pull Garlic Mustard along a 3-mile stretch of the Wiouwash Trail between Oshkosh and Allenville in Winnebago County. Event page – GC3DPWC
The pull was organized by the Winnebago County Master Gardeners and was advertised to the general public. Geocachers showed up in full force despite the wet, gloomy weather.
A great job to all those that showed up to help out with this never-ending battle. Geocachers out-numbered all other helpers 10 to 1. Geocachers are an awesome group willing to help out even when the weather is not the nicest nor the job the most pleasant (i.e. pulling invasive weeds, picking up trash, etc.)
CITO events are a great way to give back to the land managers that allow Geocaches to be placed and go a long way towards supporting our hobby and the mission of the WGA.
Below are some pics from the event:

Great job and looks like there was a lot of fun.

I didn’t know how pervasive the Mustard plant is.

It is so bad that it can drive out animals because their food supply is choked out. Most animals, if any, cannot eat it.
