The other day I noticed a new cache rescue mission for a cache in the Stevens Point/Plover area “Conifer Cache.” I was going to stop there yesterday when I was in the area, but when I checked again, the CR mission was gone. I don’t see it in the completed missions, either. What happened?

This may be an example where a cache is added to the list, and then removed without record. We’ve found this happen on several occasions in the past, which makes it hard to be sure whether a Rescue Mission is still active, and if not: why not/what happened to it?

It would be good practice to always ‘close out’ a request with a documented record of how the Rescue Mission was resolved.

I had checked with Team Deejay on this and the CO contacted him stating that the cache had been removed. Deejay then retracted the CR mission.

Can this please be made ‘standard practice’?

OK, I checked on it anyway, and it was indeed removed.
