Team Cadogan (Lord Cadogan, Brutus*, Jen*Jen, Tischman, Lucy~ and Dafuman) spent this past Saturday (7/21) setting many new milestones on the Great Pumpkin Trail and points south.
The day started early for us, as my alarm went off at 2:45 and we started caching just after 5:00. We completely obliterate those pumpkin caches and other along the trail. Using 2 vehicles, both stopped at every cache and piled out. It looked like the circus was in town and the clowns were let loose. There was a lot of laughter and hip checking going on to see who could grab the cache. Things did settle down when we worked the WSQ’s. At the first one, the CO even was passing by and spotted us for a short chat.
At the end of the day (10:00), after working Hwy 12 south toward Sauk City to visit with The Green Family, we had grabbed 150 smilies and ony 2 DNF’s! Lord Cadogan (me) smashed through my 2,500th and 2,600th cache and set a new best day. Jen*Jen, Brutus and Dafuman also had their best days. Jen*Jen joined the 3K club. Great day with great friends. 😀

It is up in Mauston. Yes, clowns. We made a point that we were not going to leap frog the caches to grab them faster. I know some people do that, but we wanted to be able to say that all 6 of us were physically at each cache. It was a riot.
