Why does the WGA Store keep opening and closing all the time, When will it be open again? I would like to be able to buy some sweatshirts and other WGA logoed Items!
10/28/2012 at 7:35 pm #1965482We do not have the staff or capability to offer Sales thru the mail, when the store is open it is for preorders to pick up at WGA events, join us at the next one and we will have sweatshirts and t shirts available.
The WGA Chili Event will be in January
10/28/2012 at 8:03 pm #1965483What’s the story behind this store’s somewhat dated offerings? Perhaps just a shop with a printer that does custom orders?
10/28/2012 at 10:27 pm #1965484We actually had a Cafe Press Store a few years back, but the prices that were offered, were high, and there were very few purchases.
10/28/2012 at 11:12 pm #1965485So how much money does the WGA make with it’s product sitting in someone’s basement anyhow? Christmas gift seaason is upon us.
Where were the last 2 events held and where is the next one going to be held? Yes, I know, you brought product to my event and it was greatly appreciated. There are people that want to GIVE the WGA money, but they can’t. Where there is a will there is a way. I guess there WGA has no wil. What is part of the WGA’s mission? Promote Geocaching in Wisconsin. And how do you do that? Walking billboards.
Just saying….
10/29/2012 at 12:34 am #1965486So all of the logo merchandise is currently in the Milwaukee area, right? Maybe a few of us locals (there are a lot of us around here) could have a volunteer night where we got together somewhere, filled orders for Christmas shoppers, and got them ready to be shipped out. The orders would have to be in by a certain time and would be shipped out all at once, and only once, say by the first week in December? We volunteers could chip in a few bucks for pizza (or potluck style) and do some geo-gabbing while we put orders together. This would be strictly volunteer and not required of the WGA board members. Just a thought, what do you think?

10/29/2012 at 1:33 am #1965487The BOD has discussed opening the WGA Store for Christmas shopping. It was announced at the GeoPicnic that items would be available through the Store, as well as through contacting any BOD.
Not all the merchandise is in SE WI. I have some with me and there are items in the WGA trailer. Some of the WGA geocoins have been distributed to various BODs because the merchandise does no good “sitting in someone’s basement”.If any members from ANYWHERE in Wisconsin would like to help ship items that are ordered from the WGA Store, let us know. We don’t appoint members or BODs for this task. We depend on MEMBER VOLUNTEERS to take ACTION in this area. After all, it is YOUR organization.
The next scheduled WGA Events are the Chili Feed and LCG Event, both after the 1st of the year.
Thanks for the input from those posting!
