can you un-activate a geocoin to give away (not adopt) and if so how?
Write [email protected]. Assuming there are no logs on it, I believe they can reverse the activation.

Thanks for the tip. I bought 12 geocoins on eBay from a coin supplier almost 2 years ago (he went out of business and apparently was selling off his collection or inventory), all activated 2 to 6 years ago but never traveled or logged. He stated to transfer ownership after shipping, but did not and never replied to repeated requests. So I’ve been sitting on them for a long time not quite sure what to do with them. We don’t really collect many geocoins – we’d prefer to send them into the wild and see how far they’ll travel and how long they’ll survive. Having them in a drawer doesn’t do much for us.
I’ll have to try the Groundspeak option!
