Congratulations to amita17 as she tromped up and down Pike Lake looking for Dr. Seuss caches. Sounds like she and chirpnterp had quite the adventure moving all kinds of mountains to get to the final and then back for a missing map. GC3XVM5 Way to go amita17!

07/29/2013 at 10:45 pm #1971209Wow. When I got my 200th find on the Pike Powdered hike back in 2009, there were only like 4 caches at Pike Lake state park. 2 were traditionals, which I found, one was a puzzle which I did not solve and an earthcache that I forgot to load in my receiver.
So I look at the current map to see what Amita got and holy crap, Pike Lake is loaded with caches. I’ll have to go back there someday.
Amita, congrats on your milestone, girl. A fist bump for ya.

Yea, that would be my fault. First we put a bunch in there for last year’s picnic. Then I just couldn’t stop with the Seuss! 😳

08/04/2013 at 12:35 pm #1971214Thanks everyone! In some ways 1500 seems like I have come a long way, and then I get inspired and realize I have just gotten started. I have met many wonderful people through this hobby and visited new places and revisted favorites. So much more to see and do…caching on! 😀
