This is what the recipe was based on last year. Whoever makes the chili and make it whichever way. There are other recipes posted to the thread from last year. This one is by far the most simple one.

    Mr. Greenthumb’s recipe
We received several requests and e-mails for the chili recipe. We tried to go with a simple recipe that was quick to make. If you decide to try it remember to reduce the quantities proportionally or invite lots of friends. We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed making it for you.

WGA Chili recipe for 18 quart Nesco Cooker

    5 lbs. of ground beef
    2-3 onions chopped
    black pepper
    (1) 28 oz. can petite diced tomatoes or crushed tomatoes
    (we used crushed tomatoes)
    (3) 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
    (2) 15 oz. cans light red kidney beans
    (2) 15 oz. cans medium chili beans
    3 cups water
    chili powder
    garlic powder

Brown meat with onions, pepper and garlic
    Add meat to cooker
Add diced or crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce
Add chili beans to cooker (do NOT drain)
Drain kidney beans and add to cooker
Add water as needed and thoroughly mix ingredients
Sprinkle in chili powder to taste

Cook at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 hours

    Serves 25-30

P.S. Sunshine came up with this recipe and deserves all of the credit.
