Not sure if this is the right thread for this but I just saw the post on the Facebook page:

Jessica wrote: “The Team at JessicaLynnOriginal.com would like to give away 2 gift certificates for your team. They can be used for http://www.geocachingstamps.com . We would love to work with you!

Do we want to follow up on this? Maybe for a prize at the campout?

I seen this to becca but didn’t comment. I wanted to see what others thought first. I think it is a cool idea, and for a prize why not except their offer. It can’t hurt. I know these stamps are pretty popular and see alot of people using them.

As long as they aren’t expecting anything too special (link on our website or anything like that) it’s probably okay. If they want similar mentions as our other sponsors get (cache addict, etc.) then I like the idea.

How have we dealt with this other times?

when soliciting donations, we will often mention that their name (business name) will be included on the cache page and mentioned at the event. They just want a little recognition for their donations.

as long as the certificates are worth enough to defray a good portion of the cost for the product, I say why not accept the offer. these stamps are around $20 for the basic geo-stamp.

maybe someone can message with them and see just what they are offering. We don’t really want to give a $5 gift certificate if the recipient is going to have to spend $20 to get any benefit from getting it as a “prize”.

I got my stamp many years ago and would have to check to see where…which I can do tonight…but I checked the webpage and the stamps they are offering seem to be reasonably priced to me.

free is good, as long as its just a posting on cache page for recognition and a thanks at the event.

I met her at our event on Saturday ..and have nothing but positive things to say about her. She approached me about being an event sponsor and even the possibility of having a booth at our events to promote her stamps. She is a geocacher. I have a box of her business cards to share. I love her artwork.

I feel better about the whole thing if Renee has actually met her.

      Sounds really good.

Want me to make contact with her or Renee, do you want to since you have met her face to face?

OK. Thanks. Let me know if I can help. I had planned to contact her this week but you beat me to it.
