This will be a Snowshoeing Pot Luck and Hot Chocolate Party.

Starting time will be 7:00 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass. Everyone should bring their own drink but drinks to share are always encouraged. Food will be served indoors.

A grill is available if anyone wants to use it or bring food to grill. Please post below if you are so we can have the grill ready.

A fire can be made if so desired. 3 feet of snow means we could have one just about anywhere without killing the grass. We have a fire pit but who wants to dig that out.

Approximately 8:30 p.m. for those interested we will go on a 2 mile snowshoeing loop. You could cut it shorter if you want but it is a good trail and only takes roughly 1 1/2 hours to complete the loop. You probably don’t even need snowshoes if you don’t have them. Cross country skis would work well too. Just don’t run over the snowshoers.

You should bring a headlamp or clip-on light. Flashlights will work but not as accommodating as a head lamp. Hopefully the moon will be out and light our way but if not the trail is well marked and very well known.

Glow sticks not provided. If you want you could wear a glow stick. This event would give you a reason to wear one.

There are several caches in the area and one very close by, I will make sure it is accessible for logging otherwise the event always counts as a smiley.
