Everyone’s gotta eat, right? What are some of the dining hot spots in West Bend?
05/22/2014 at 12:56 am #1976192Conference room at AmericInn. Always good eats and company to be found there. We usually try to catch lunch at a closed bank drive thru also.

05/22/2014 at 4:34 pm #1976195The custard place right near the park, Toucans. And the Riverside Brewing. Both are stops we make every year.
05/22/2014 at 6:04 pm #1976196I have to agree with WA on his recommendations and also CG on Toucans…yum!

Nice answer BigJim! 8)
So last year we had an interesting situation. My husband is always meeting people and bonding with them wherever we go. So he ended up talking with two men from Delaware that were attending the Bash. They asked where the best place was to get good brats. Well we were planning on grilling at Regner and had brought a huge package of Usingers brats for the night. My husband told them that we had the best ones around and told them they were welcome to join us. They ended up going to the grocery store and bought some side items to share with us and we ended up with our own mini-potluck. We ended up chatting with some really interesting people, it was a good experience.

07/31/2014 at 3:39 pm #1976204I will also throw out two other local restaurants that are worth trying:
Dublin’s Irish Pub (opened last year, Irish themed, always packed, has the GeoTour stickers)
Ninja Japanese Steakhouse (a little pricey, but good food and they “perform” as they cook your food on a grill in front of you)
08/04/2014 at 1:51 pm #1976205Yes, I also like Dublins (*Geotour), West Bend Tap & Tavern (*GeoTour), Riverside Brewery (*GeoTour), Cafe Soeurette, and Grasshopper (breakfast/lunch place). Most of those are in the same price category, but the quality is really excellent.
For chain restaurants, Charcoal Grill just opened and they have yummy burgers. And there’s always Applebees, Texas Roadhouse (*Geotour), and Buffalo Wild Wings (*GeoTour).
If you want a classic large-portion reasonably-priced family restaurant, Omnicron fits the bill.
You could try The Braising Pan, very near Regner Park. They have a German-inspired menu in case you’ve been hankering some Schnitzel or Sauerbraten or Beer-battered brat bites, although they have classic American dishes too. http://braisingpanwestbend.com/our-menu/
A new Mexican restaurant/bar just opened downtown called Casa Tequila, but I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.For Italian lovers, try Michaleno’s Pizzeria (they also deliver). They have a large menu and are reasonably priced. http://www.michalenos.com/
Also, Sal’s Pizzeria (downtown) or Maricio’s in Barton (formerly Tomasos) are good places for pizza.
Hope that helps. So many choices!">
