If any cachers who live near Portage would like to put out a cache my cousin just sent me this message.
“I spoke to the Site Curator for WIDAR and she thinks it is a great idea to have a geocache on the grounds of Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters, maybe in the big tree off of the drive way. If you are in that area or know someone who is, could you plant one or ask them to plant one?”
So there you go…. If someone is interested guess we could modify this note so the exact location isn’t posted.
Mrs. TETeam Sloughfoot will get right on that. We have one across the street at the wayside so will have to work at getting it far enough away. We also have one at The Indian Agency house just down the canal.
Do you have the name of the director?

thanks for the name. As soon as John is feeling better we will head over there and check it out. Waiting for blood work but think he has Lymes.
We checked out the location and we can’t get far enough away from our cache that is across the road. We don’t want to move that cache as it is found often and is in another historic spot. We tried to talk to the curator but no one came to work today at the location. We waited 20 min. to see if someone would show but no luck.
Okay I will let my cousin know. Don’t know what to tell you.
