With football season well on its way, and many other sports coming up, I decided to create a forum dedicated to the analysis (AKA- Trash talking) of any and all teams near and far. I will start with a simple NFL poll to kick things off. Hopefully this can become a frequently visited forum π

I tried to make a box for “other”, but the site wouldn’t let me. Oh well…
09/29/2014 at 4:10 am #1977471I don’t see a “who cares” box either. π π
09/29/2014 at 10:21 am #1977472I play fantasy football so it gets kind of weird. You wind up rooting for individual guys like, for example, yesterday I had Eddie Lacy and my opponant had Jordy Nelson so I wanted the Packers to win but I wanted it to be all Eddie Lacy and not Jordy. The Packers winning does take priority .
There is a good chance I’ll still win this week in spite of Jordy’s coup and Eddie’s continued struggles. I’m up by 3 points with Rob Gronkowski yet to play tonight…opponent has Travis Kelce.

See, that’s why I don’t play fantasy football anymore. Last time I played fantasy football, I once lost a late season game in which I needed a win to qualify for the playoffs. Who did I lose to? My opponent had Aaron Rodgers, who had his standard 300 yard 4 touchdown game. I had mixed emotions in that game.
I made the decision to not play fantasy football anymore and just stick with my beloved Packers π
09/30/2014 at 9:52 pm #1977474Does it have to be a team? Can we rip on individual players? If so, I would like to start a scathing diatribe on how much I can’t stand Johnny Manziel.

Pretty cocky considering how bad the Browns really are. So bad, I think the Packers would win 38-17 against them (come on, the Bears are making it too easy π ).

When you have to resort to illegal trick plays, you know you are a horrible team. Manziel will shatter like glass when he gets hit by the defensive team. He spent most of his time running in college. If he keeps that up in the NFL he is in for a major hurt. And any one who calls himself “Johnny Football” is an arrogant little…… in my book.
10/01/2014 at 12:08 am #1977477Yeah, it’s nice to have a quarterback who can get outside the pocket and/or pick up a quick first down when he has a relatively low risk hole to run through and he’s not too stupid to know when to slide down but it’s like some of these teams are looking for the 2nd coming of Michael Vick who can just run all over the field and make everyone look foolish.
It’s exciting and it’s fun to watch and it gives defenses a lot to think about. The problem is that Michael Vick had one in a million speed and even he got the crap beat out of him as soon as he started to lose a step.

NFL teams need pocket passers, not running QB’s. If teams are thinking of wanting their QB’s to run, all they have to do is look at Robert Griffin III. Look at what happened with him.
I don’t mind mobility to buy time. That’s what Aaron Rodgers does. But I don’t think quarterbacks should run on designed plays like Washington did with RGIII.
Teams will find out in a hurry that they need to protect their quarterbacks. The Vikings found that out real quick when Bridgewater sprained his ankle on Sunday and is doubtful for Thursday.
10/02/2014 at 11:44 pm #1977480Well, the Packers play in less than an hour. My pick for this evening is:
Packers 27
Vikings 14Yours?
10/03/2014 at 1:32 pm #1977481I think 42-10 sounds good

10/03/2014 at 1:39 pm #1977482WEre the Packers good or were the Vikings bad? Discuss.
