      The Oconomowoc Area Historical Society and the City of Oconomowoc is planning a Geocaching Event in Oconomowoc on Saturday, July 25th, 2015.   It will be a similar event that took place in Beaver Dam (Cache and Release) in 2014.  We would start with a kick-off at noon at the Oconomowoc Museum and end at 5:00 in Roosevelt Park (Oconomowoc) with raffle prizes.  At this time we are planning 25 new caches to be released on July 25th all around the Oconomowoc area.

      If anyone would like to help out or give advice/ideas that would be great and we would really appreciate it.  Please feel free to private message me.

          We raised enough money for 250 Trackable Coins for the first 250 teams that complete 25 points.  Either by finding all the Geocaches OR you have the option to buy a meal at one of our restaurant Sponsors. Each restaurant has a good variety of food.  We will have menus at the event.  Prices vary too.
          For the raffles we have a nice variety of prizes.  The top prize is a one night stay at the Pine Terrace Bed and Breakfast.  Sherper’s donated $250.00 in a variety of gift cards.  And area businesses have donated gift cards and baskets.

            Sounds like a nice event. We’ve stayed at that b and b, it’s a very nice place. If we didn’t have a wedding to attend, we’d be there for your event. Hope you get a great turnout! It’s a lot of work to pull something like this together.

              Oh yes, it’s A LOT of work!  I’m having fun talking to the local businesses and they seem very excited to help us out as a sponsor and also give us raffle donation.   I hope you can come after the event and find all the caches!  The first 250 teams that find all 25 and complete their booklet will receive a coin.  I think it’s a nice coin 🙂   I hope we get a good turnout too, thank you 🙂
