I have learned that some people will pull apart interesting containers rather than put in an extra few moments to fully explore them.  I had a cache that had a gallon bag inside full of glitter (it went with the theme) and the coordinates were inside the glitter so you just had to move the bag around.  The top was duct-taped shut so people would rip the bag to get the coordinates, rather than move it around in their hands.  Twice the bag was ripped open.

I also had a cache with easter eggs glued into a container so that you just had to open up the easter eggs to get the numbers for WP2.  People ripped the glue and rearranged the eggs in the container so that people had to guess at what order they’d be in.  Not cool.

But then again, before these caches were wrecked, many people enjoyed them.  So, I guess the moral of the story is, people really like interesting and fun containers, but they’re going to be a ton of work for the CO.

Oh the woes of the short geocacher!

I did the glitter cache or all but the Final. Grrr. I promise I didn’t rip it up. 🙂
