- Potluck dinner
- Travel bug exchange

- No ticks, wasps, or poisonous plants! No piles of loose rocks! No stealth required!
The Snowbuster features a white elephant gift exchange. If you want to join in you’ll need to do these things ahead of time.
- Choose something to bring as a gift
- Wrap it so that no one can tell what it is. Don’t put anyone’s name on the package, including your own
- Bring the gift with you to the event. Each gift you bring will get you one ticket to play the game
The gift exchange will start at 6:00 PM. The game works like this.
- All of the gifts will be put in a pile
- Tickets will be called at random
- When it’s your turn you can decide to choose a gift from the pile or steal a gift that has already been opened by someone else
- Once a gift has been stolen three times it is out of play. (The third person to steal it gets to keep it)
Nearly any type of gift is okay for the gift exchange. Here are some ideas to get you started.
- A gift you got for Christmas that doesn’t quite suit you
- Something you have in the basement because you’re not using it but it’s too good to throw away
- The best thing from your box of things to go to Goodwill
- The gift card you’ve had sitting in your desk for three years
- Anything so hilariously terrible that it’s good for a laugh when someone opens it
There will be separate gift tables for adults and kids.
You are not guaranteed to get a good gift from the gift exchange! The goal is for everyone to have a good time while playing the game.
There will be tables set up for a potluck dinner. If you would like to join in please bring a dish to pass. Finger food is best. Cups and plates will be provided. The venue has a kitchen area so you can do some quick cleanup afterward.
