We have a puzzle cache that is probably solved most often by the solvers doing Wikipedia research. That’s where we did ours to set it up. For the second time now, we’ve had to alter the questions due to changes in the wikipedia entry. At least people have posted their DNFs, which alerts us to go check on it. It’s always been there, and we find that the solve needs fixing. This time, we put the checker on it and a note to contact us if their answer differs. Anyone else ever run into this problem with a puzzle?
Moral of the story….even if it seems not to require a checker, one might be useful if the solve relies on wikipedia!
That’s odd because everything on the Internet is correct and true.
I just put out a research puzzle cache where, if the info changes, all the history in the USA changes!
For fun I go to wikipedia and change stuff. Is that wrong? awww…just teasing.
I do have a puzzle I adopted from the one is is Hardly Seen and some info did change in the wikientry.
Following the signals from space.
I have had one that has changed a couple times since the cache was published.
what I did was to find the cached page that I used for the info and set that as my “related web page” on the cache page itself and then referenced that the page to use was available by using “the link above”.
