April 16 Arbor Day/Earth Day event. The geocache log will be available from 8:45 am to 11 am; however, there will be volunteer opportunities from 9 am until 3pm.

All activites have been coordinated with Harrington Park Staff. HBSP staff will oversee the tree planting.

Possible activities include:

  • Spreading woodchips on the trail.
  • Picking up trash and debris along the trails.
  • Moving recently cut brush.
  • Planting 100 trees

The Friends of Harrington Beach State Park will be providing a free hot dog lunch at noon at the Welcome Center for all who help. If you are unable to help with the trees, there is always a need for people to pick up trash on the trails.

The coordinates will get you to the Office Parking Lot at Harrington Beach State Park.  There will be a table set up for the geocaching log to sign, as well as to direct you to the activities.  If you have trackables to trade, you can do that at the log site as well.

STATE PARK STICKER REQUIRED for entrance to Harrington Beach State Park.

A Volunteer form may need to be filled out before participating in some activities.

When you list your WILL ATTEND, please indicate how many people you think you will be.
