This event is open to anyone who knew muddajay, enjoyed finding any muddajay caches, has a muddajay story they want to share, has always wanted to adopt a cache, or just wants to attend an event and meet some local cachers! We’re adding an ice cream social for the fun of it!

When: 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Where: Beach House at WRSP

Bring: Ice Cream Toppings!

Muddajay owned 57 active caches.  When muddajay and I would teach Geocaching 101 classes at libraries, churches, Rotary Club meetings and Willow River State Park, we would joke that caches are like your kids…they don’t really ever move out, and you’re always responsible for them.  Muddajay would laugh and say that if anything happened to her, I inherited her caches.  It was funny…until I inherited 57 extra caches to maintain!

We will be at the new beach house…which will be much more impressive once they restore the lake and beach! Easily wheelchair friendly, with bathrooms under the same roof.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL: My Dad and I will provide Ice Cream, bowls and spoons. Everyone else please bring Ice Cream Toppings! Please list what you plan to bring, so that we get a variety! (Muddajay would say you can’t have too many types of chocolate!!!)

If you cannot make it to the event, but would like a specific cache to adopt, please send me a note. Preference will go to any tributees for caches in their honor, but if they don’t claim them, they are available to anyone else. If you adopt one of muddajay’s caches, I would ask that you keep it active for about 6 months, but after that, it is yours to keep, archive, replace as you see fit.
