Come on out for an evening of free entertainment and see the films from the Geocaching Film Festival. Spend some time with your geocaching friends at this event and enjoy some films by your fellow cachers.

 

In the past, a geocacher who was interested in seeing the Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) had to travel to Seattle but now you can see the finalist films right here in West Salem.

The GIFF Weekend is your chance to watch the entire reel of the Ā finalist films from the 2016 Geocaching International Film Festival. On the weekend of November 3-7 only, geocachers will host geocaching events at which these films will be shown publicly for the first time. Advance Planning Technologies (My employer) has graciously allowed me to use their screen and sound system to show all the films for you. So come on out and enjoy an evening of entertainment and socializing!

About this event:

  • What? Geocaching International Film Festival
  • When? Saturday, November 5th, 2016 atĀ 6:00 pm. The show will start promptly at 7pm, and last about an hour. .
  • Where? Advance Planning Technologies. (Inside the building) (Parking is behind the building and on the street)
  • Who? Anybody — really! It makes no difference if you geocache or not – you are most welcome to join us in the fun. However, those under 18 years of age need to have one of their adults to keep track of them.
  • Why? Well, why not? Make it a date night! What else do you have to do?

  • Popcorn and refreshments will be available. ForĀ last years event we did orderĀ pizza, if you wish to do that again pleaseĀ comment and include number in your party so we can possibly do that again.
  • There will be a logbook available.
