A Few of My Favorite Things – Cache-Of-The-Month

One of my favorite things is selecting a Wisconsin hidden cache by a WGA Member for the WGA Cache-of-the-Month recognition.   The best part to this is even basic members can give a “Favorite” to a cache.   However, this type of favorite is far better than the usual favorite point given through Geocaching.com.

When I received a Cache-Of-The-Month recognition in 2013 for some of my very first caches in a series, it was a thrill to say the least because this was a new thing for me.  After I read the very complimentary log from Sandlanders , this and the banner motivated me to hide more caches.  These recognition banners are really a cool thing to add to your cache page.

Whenever I see these banners on caches pages I read, I immediately think back to the thrill of receiving the recognition and to the WGA member who took the extra time to make the nomination.  Now I am “paying forward” the same thrill with some of my own nominations of “favorites.”
