What Computer Skills will you bring to the BOD? As examples the WGA has a very active website, FB page and other Social Media communications, quarterly Newsletters, monthly Google Hangouts, Geocaching profile to produce event cache pages, 192 WGA Geoart cache!, etc. We all know we can operate a GPS, cellphone, and access geocaching.com for our geocaches, but do you have other skills you would like to mention that would maintain, enhance, or add to the future BOD activites? Maybe even a new proposal?

I have had a computer for the last 20 years, while I haven’t used some of the latest and greatest stuff like Google Hangout, I’ve been using FB for a while, created many cache pages, and have above average communication skills.Ā  I do type, not the fastest, but I can get the job done.

If you are looking for a tech guru, I’m not your guy. I have average to above average computer skills, but I’m not going to fix the website if it crashes or anything like that. I can create cache pages and post to Facebook (though I’m cutting back on that time-waster). As a teacher, I could also help out with the newsletter, especially as a proofreader.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

I am proficient in Microsoft Office, a lot of graphic programs in editing and publishing, and I dabble in the tekkie stuff enough to be dangerous šŸ˜‰

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I am a graphic designer and photographer so I am fairly tech savy. My dad is a techy guy so I know enough to fix computers and can usual help in sound or presentation issues. I am fairly comfortable with both Windows and Apple OS.

I am pretty techy, and like rawevil, I know just enough to be dangerous! I also know enough to not change things if I’m not sure as I don’t want to crash the website!! I have helped quite a bit with the website but don’t know enough to even come close to being a webmaster. Many times it is not the computer skills but knowing the software that is being used. I helped alot with the geoart. Generally if pointed in the right direction I can figure it out.

I never have claimed to be very tech savvy but I do well enough in most tech areas. I can usually figure it out after playing with it for a while. While I might not be the best at the tech stuff I will get by and help out as much as I can and learn as I go. I have also written a WordPress blog for several years which if I have deduced correctly is what out main website is hosted on, so that skill could come in handy.

I am adaptable and always willing to learn. I can write different types if programs currently and have learned some html only to be a nuissance.Ā  I have been somewhere in the computer industry since high school.
