The 2019 WGA spring campout is scheduled for May 17-19, 2019.  The cache page for the annual WGA picnic states a single date for the day of the picnic, but for the WGA campout you might want to state the dates for that Friday through Sunday.  The current web page for the campout headlines in bold print the date for only Saturday, May 18 (see attached picture).

Good catch Hack.  I had some trouble, I had it that way originally and it threw an error.  So I just put the one date.  I modified it again, and now it displays the whole weekend.  Let me know if you see any other issues.

To quote a previous WGA presidents creative words and use as my own:

May 17th -19th Governor Thompson State Park

    GC8491Y 2019 WGA Spring Campout

    Temporary night cache competition

Do you have what it takes…? You think you are good, but are you THAT good?

This is your chance…play outside the rules, go all out and show what you can do.

    Here are the rules:

    ___________ there are no rules.

1 Night for 1 hour you have the opportunity to conjure up all of the creativity you can muster and participate…and possibly RULE the Annual WGA Campout Night Cache competition.

Do you have some great ideas for a night cache but they are not practical for long term use?

Are you an wizard with thingamabobs, like to play with electronics, got a great idea to use highly reflective stickers, have an old set of Christmas lights aching for a new use, know how to manipulate lasers and mirrors in fun and exciting ways.

We dare ya. Ya, we said it. We Double Dog Dare Ya to prove you are the best creating a night cache.

Knock our socks off…if you think you can do this, prove it.

Sign up for the WGA Spring Campout Night Cache event.

Sounds like fun! I’ve got some ideas, but work is gonna get in the way of this opportunity for me. Heading to TX for 12 days and won’t be able to put any efforts into it. It’ll be cool seeing what others come up with.

We have two and possibly three night caches planned.  Having said that:

    – No animals are being harmed in the making of the night caches.

    – The night caches will not be hazardous to your health.  Probably.

    – Placed without permission 😉

    – Lobsters9494 will not take first place again.

    – Yes there will be lights.  Yes there will be things that go bump in the night.

    – UFO sightings are commonplace during WGA campouts.

    I’m in site 31.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

Wow, looks like it’s going to rain no? So much for night cashes. Pickup a rain coat and umbrella guys.

Oh ya my bike tire has a flat, I’ve got to fix that. What last minute things are you guys doing for the camp out?

For some reason I didn’t subscribe to this forum.  Doh!  Loved seeing the Awhips made it to the event.  Didn’t realize how competitive the night cache thing is…can’t wait for the next one.  Yeah the rain sucked.  But it does come with bragging rights.
