I was super excited to be awarded a Community Celebration Event. This is the first event that I have ever hosted in my 10 years of caching, and it is being held at the Jim Byrnes Memorial Park adjacent to the Town of East Troy town hall on Stewart School Road from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2020.
I have rented the shelter with permission from the Town of East Troy. There is plenty of space for social distancing either under the shelter or at the park benches scattered around the park. There is a small playground, hiking trails, and a multi-cache for those of you that have not found it yet. Event will be rain or shine. Come for a little while or stay as long as you want and enjoy some good geocaching conversations.
I will provide some pre-packaged snacks so there is no risk of us touching each others food. Feel free to bring your own food or beverages. I will also have a few prizes (drawing will be at 3:45 p.m.). Looking forward to meeting some new cachers and catching up with those I have already met. Hope to see you there!
