! DEUCES WILD BY CANDLELIGHT ! 2.22.22

The event will start with an outdoor winter picnic of Brats and Hot Dogs at the Coal Dock Beach in Washburn, WI. Bring a camp chair. Bring something to share to add to the picnic if you wish. There is plenty of parking available. The beach is protected from most winds unless there is a “Nor’easter.” There may or may not be a campfire.

Candlelight luminaries will be placed in and among the sandstone rocks along the shoreline for about .20 of a mile to and back from the famous “Egg Island.” The hike will be along the shoreline of frozen Chequamegon Bay. Conditions right now are excellent as of 2/7/22. The CO is reinacting the Candlelight luminaries at the shoreline again. It’s really COOL! Dress for the weather and usually the shoreline will be good to hike with winter boots. Ice creepers may be necessary for grip if conditions change. Stay tuned to announcements about the conditions the day before the event.Where: Chequamegon Bay at the Washburn Coal Dock

When: TUESDAY , FEBRUARY 22, 2022 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Clovid-19 protocols will be in place. SOCIAL DISTANCING! HAND SANTIZER WILL BE AVAILABLE!

What happens in case of bad weather? Stay tuned for future notes from the CO on the cache page as an announcement.
