Our first event. UW-Madison is still on winter break, so it is a little quieter here giving us a chance to get together at Union South. If you enter the doors near the coordinates, immediately to the right is a general area with tables and chairs. If you come in a different way, this area is between the main staircase to the other floors and a large fireplace. We will meet there to socialize for a bit before that area gets busy.
Even with winter break, parking can still be a challenge. We’ve listed a few parking way points. The closest parking will have fees – either feeding the meter for street parking or using ParkMobile and a credit card to park at Union South. Many UW lots require parking permits. Lot 45 is one of the few open on most Saturdays, but quickly fills up. You may find free on street parking in the neighborhood to the south, again watch the parking signs.
