WHERE: Copper Culture State Park; Oconto, WI-The birthplace of western civilization

 WHEN: Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Peak fall color in our area of northeastern Wisconsin begins around the first of October and we know you’re itching to make that trip north to see it. We invite you to stop by the shelter at Copper Culture State Park for a picnic and a chance to socialize with others of our caching community. No state park sticker/fee is required. The picnic is pot luck but we’ll supply that favorite fall fare…meatballs! There are grills available for anyone wanting to prepare something more traditional. Please note in your attendance log how many will attend.

What to Bring To the Picnic:

Table setting for you and your family. Beverages for your group. A food item to share. Please bring an item to share based on your last name: Last name A-H: chips or snacks/ Last name I-P: cookies or dessert/ Last name Q-Z: salad, vegetable or fruit.

The last time a geo-picnic was held in Oconto, a $25 gas card was placed/found in one of the local caches. Could it happen again??? Be prepared for a surpise or two.
