*** New Year’s Eve Social Event at After Hours Trail — Brule State Forest- ***

This evening is a collaborative event with the Brule Valley Ski Club. This is open by invitation to Geocachers as an event and to the members of the Brule Valley Ski Club. Approximate coordinates are: N 46° 33.291 W 091° 35.692

Where: After Hours Trail – Brule River State Forest

When: December 31st 2018 — from 7 pm to 9 pm

The After Hours Trail and parking entrance is located 1 mile west of Brule on the After Hours Road, just south of US Highway 2. Parking, a heated shelter and restrooms are available at the trailhead compliments of the Brule River State Forest and the Brule Valley Ski Club.

The evening event begins at 7 pm and ends at 9 pm. Bring a snack type of food to share (appetizers, finger foods, chips, cookies, candy, etc). Hot chocolate, decaf coffee, tea, and water will be provided. Please no alcohol as this will be a family-friendly event.

Besides a social gathering, if you wish, come prepared for activities to include headlamp XC skiing and snowshoeing. Bring your own equipment. There should be plenty of leaders who know the trails to be able to take out a group on the trails. Dress appropriately for the outdoor activities or simply enjoy the heated shelter and refreshments.

There is a $5 daily trail fee for those wanting to use the trails. No fee is necessary for the shelter gathering or parking.

Sorry but no animals are allowed on the trail or in the shelter.

In case of inclement weather, make your own decision about your attendance to be responsible for your own personal safety.
