Yes, race fans, it’s time to waddle your tailfeathers to Biggby Coffee on Rib Mountain Drive in Wausau to participate in the Central Wisconsin Great Midwestern Duck Dash event! July 20th, from 6:30-8 pm.  Who knew ducks could be so much fun?

The intrepid leaders at Groundspeak have come up with a new game-within-the-game – the HQ DUCK DASH.

The rules are simple, and you don’t need to know diddly about them.  You just need to know that we (Rib Ticklers) are entering at least 15 trackables in this event, and they must all be launched on JULY 20th.  So – The EVENT!! 6:30 – 8 pm.

What a great excuse to get together with friends!

We will be hosting this event at Biggby Coffee on Rib Mountain Drive (N 44° 55.694 W 089° 39.275) from 6:30 to 8 pm.  What do you need to do? Well – SHOW UP!

Seriously – there’s no agenda.  There’s no program.  But there are benefits:

  1. Learn more about Trackables
  2. Meet other geocachers
  3. Pick someone’s brain about that really hard-to-find or hard-to-solve cache
  4. Get a ‘Found It’ on an Event!
  5. Enjoy coffee and scones if you want
  6. Get the opportunity to launch your own Trackables in the HQ Duck Dash

What we do ask is that IF YOU HAVE TRACKABLES, BRING THEM TO THE EVENT FOR TRADE.  This event is all about trackables, and anything we can do to eliminate the mystery around those annoying things will just improve the game for anyone who launches one or finds one.

Bring your computer or your smart phone, because we’ll all be logging a lot of Trackables at the event, and you don’t want to be left out!
