      Ok, here is my final question to throw into the pot. (I bet you are glad of that, but hopefully others have questions as well. TTB have yet to be heard from.)

      There are 9 excellent candidates thus far nominated, for just 4 open seats. I am sure I am not the only one who feels that we are very fortunate this year to have such a great group of people willing to serve on the WGA BOD. With such a strong field of candidates, it is going to very difficult to narrow our vote down to just 4 people.

      So, what do you bring to the party that will make the WGA prosper that others may not? In short, why vote for you instead of one of the other great candidates?

        I am no better than any of the other people nominated for the board. It’ll be tough to narrow it down to just four come election time.

        Why vote for me over the others? I don’t know. As I stated when I last ran for board, on the board I am nothing but the voice of the membership. If someone has a concern or question, I promise to bring it up with the board, and then get back to the individual with an answer. I would continue to do this as a returning board member.

        I have some things I would really like to do as a board member — continue to work with the DOT, hold CITO events, and a winter event — but if the membership wants to go another direction, I am more than willing to do what needs to be done to make the WGA excellent.

        I have 2 years experience already on the board. I suppose that counts for something. I have some experience as a reviewer, so I know what’s going on in the world of geocache placement.

        I would appreciate anyone’s vote, but if you feel someone is a better candidate for the board, by all means, vote for someone else. I have really enjoyed my behind the scenes tour being on the board and would like to continue it.

        This is a tough question to answer! Hopefully, I wasn’t too rambly!

          First of all I want to thank you Zuma for getting these intelligent questions out there. It has been great fun answering them and they have really forced me to think about the issues before us. The questions are important as they express an interest in the direction the WGA should or could go. I hope that there are more still to be asked as we all benefit from both the questions asked and answered.

          As everyone here knows, I keep few secrets about my views and as a board member that would continue. I have noticed that there are several very quiet board members when it comes to posting on the forums. I understand that they can not all hang around posting here all day but I find it concerning that I don’t know what their opinions are. Where is the WGA going? Who is making the decisions which guide our organization?

          Why vote for me over the other candidates? That is an excellent question and one which I’m not sure I am qualified to answer. As I initially posted in my candidate profile, I thought the candidates were outstanding and reading through their bios I have become even more impressed with them. Wow, why vote for me? I guess because you’ll always know where I stand on issues. You may not agree with all of them but that doesn’t mean we can’t work together to find some middle ground. I’m generally easy going and in spite of what you may see here on the boards I’m also a very private person unless I have something to worth to offer; in this case I offer my dedication.

          I do not envy the choice you will have to make to whittle this down to 4. But, be assured that the 4 you pick will still be very talented and motivated individuals.

            Why Vote for me??

            Well, that is a very good question, with many possible answers. I feel that my availability, and Friendly Demeanor make me a great Canidate. I feel that this great group of canidates is well versed in caching in the great state of Wisconsin.

            I have been at all the WGA Functions since I have been a member, and have helped at all but my first one. I have hosted some events, have placed many caches, and am very active in the forums.

            I cache somewhere in Wisconsin every weekend. have also been know to sneak a few in during Lunch!! I am very accessible, and will help whenever called upon. It is a rare weekend when I don’t get phone calls from 8-10 Different Cachers, asking questions, or wanting to meet up to go caching.

            I have been to all areas of this great state, and to many areas I did not know existed.

              Because I’m so darned cute and cuddly.

              No, seriously,
              I bring to the table 4 years of experience on our BOD.
              I bring the insight of having been a geocaching.com reviewer for over three and a half of those years.
              I am willing to spend real time to do real work on behalf of the WGA.
              I have some experience working with government agencies (DNR and NPS).
