I was browsing the groundspeak forums and noticed this Multi-event (and Project Geocoin) thread. There does not seem to be any post from anyone in Wisconsin slated to hold an event.

The “official” event date would be May 1st or 2nd to coincide with the 10 year anniversary of geocaching. Many events have already been published and it looks like Groundspeak will be “sponsoring” the idea behind the events with some publicity/advertising like the CITO events each year.

I am posting this to bring attention to this world-wide multi-event to our group to see if there is interest in holding one of these events in Wisconsin.

With thinking about an Appleton CITO in April and the Adopt a highway cleanup also in mid to late April I am not sure I would be available to properly host the event but wanted to let others know in case they might want to take this idea get something going.

If not, you can always travel to one of the other events 😉

Mrs. TBC was wondering if there would be one in Wisconsin. If none are posted within reasonable driving distance from Wausau, we “might” put one together.

TBC – put it on top of rib mtn, would be cool, hike the old quarry road, the 3 bad ribs way, or better yet use the chair lift! Rumors have it that will be running more this summer because of the road repair.

I’m glad you thought of it, can’t wait to see what you do with it :>

Go for it, TBC! Time for another event in your area, and it’s nice and central to the state.
