Wow, there are now 2 events published that may be of interest to people living in the Central UP and NE Wisconsin that will be happening shortly.

The Presque Isle Park Event IV is happening again this year from 1-7PM (Eastern Time) on August 15th at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, MI. If you have never been to this event before, let me just tell you that 2_UP_Geologists and friends do a wonderful job putting this one together, and you cannot ask for a more beautiful place than Presque Isle for an event.

The Northeast Wisconsin Meet & Greet II is happening from Noon-5PM (Central Time) in Crivitz, WI on August 22. We haven’t been to this event before, as last year it conflicted with the PIPE event, so we are looking forward to checking it out this year.

Hopefully we will see some of you at these events!

We won’t make either one as we’ll be busy in West Bend the first event and at a major star party (astronomy) the second. Sounds like fun though.

Hm…

I think I can make the PIPE event. It’s my weekend off. With other cachers there, this could be my opportunity to hit the PI cache that I talked about in the other thread.

I might be able to make the one in Crivitz – if I can talk my boss into letting me work an earlier shift so I can make the half hour drive to say hello and maybe see any stragglers at the event.

I would have been able to attend the Crivitz event, but I have a wedding of another geocacher to attend.

We wont be able to make it to PIPE this year as we will be in Milwaukee that weekend, but the event in Crivitz sounds interesting as it only about 20 miles from the house

There was a wedding at the 2006 Sault Ste. Marie Historical Tour. If I remember correctly they had a treasure hunt to find a pair of rings in the park and whoever found them were the best man and maid of honor. It was a fun and interesting event.

Latest update.

I won’t be able to make either event. Daughter has to work on the 15th so I have to get her to work and back home. So I will not be able to go to Marquette that day.

I work on the 22nd. Busy day at the store, so I won’t make it to Crivitz.
