      The results are just in…

      First of all, a big thanks to the 6 WGA members who were nominated and agreed to run for the Board. A total of 199 votes were cast by 55 WGA members during the election. Thanks to everyone who voted!

      Four new and returning Board members for 2004:

      Ken Braband
      WGA nickname: kbraband
      Geocaching.com username: active2gether
      Number of votes: 46 (23%)

      Rhonda Veroeven
      WGA nickname: Ms. WISearcher
      Geocaching.com username: WISearchers
      Number of votes: 45 (23%)

      Jeffrey Little
      WGA nickname: Jeff
      Geocaching.com username: Hotdogs Off Trail
      Number of votes: 43 (22%)

      Brian Geoffrey
      WGA nickname: Brian
      Geocaching.com username: Should’ve Bought Him The Tie
      Number of votes: 26 (13%)

      The new Board members and their terms are now listed on the “About Us” page. We are having a get together/meeting next weekend for all WGA Board members (current, new, and outgoing)… we should be able to get a picture of the new Board then.

          We have mixed emotions since four very fine candidates were elected and two were not. We have no doubts that all of the candidates are wonderfully qualified. Congratulations to the election winners and regrets to the two winners who will be allowed more time on the trails.

          Cashing Out

            We would like to congratulate our new and returning board members. With our ever increasing numbers, we know the future of our sport will present many new challenges. We feel confident you will meet these with the same enthusiasm you have shown in other geo-activities. A sincere thank you for your time and commitment and best wishes in the coming years.

                I’d like to tip my hat and say congratulations to those that made it onto the WGA Board. I know that each one of you will do a fantastic job promoting the sport that we all love so much. Good luck and we’ll see you on the trails – or breakfast which ever comes first!
