The upper chain is a fantastic place to paddle and is only a few minutes from the park. You can also access Marl lake and get out at Whispering Pines (and there’s a cache there!). Actually you can access the entire chain of 20 some lakes from the upper chain. We’ll be bringing our kayaks and love to paddle this area- how about planning on a group paddle Saturday afternoon sometime? We’ll be camping in family camping and shouldn’t be too hard to spot- just look for a trailer with four kayaks on it.
