For those attending events this weekend:

Eau Claire/Dunn County is near peak color and it should be excellent for those traveling to the Bjornsen event near Menomonie.

I was in La Crosse County today and leaves are at 30-40% with some great reds. Peak is about a week away, for those thinking about traveling to La Crosse for their event.

Sadly, I gotta go back to work tommorrow, so will miss the great event at Bjornson.

Colors are heading down hill here in Northern WI. They peaked over the weekend.

Check out the Travel Wisconsin fall color report. Shows a map of Wisconsin counties and how close to peak the colors are:

They certainly seem to have Grantsburg wrong. While that site suggests we are 3 weeks away from peak, we are now past peak. We visited Madeline Island over the weekend. The colors up there were great but were superior to ours as our maples have lost most of their leaves now. We currently have our red oaks giving some vibrant color but they never last long.

Lots of wind and rain outside the window right now. Looks like we’ll be raking leaves tomorrow.
