The campout committee and the BOD have voted and….

We Have A Winner!!!!!

Congratulations to Jacey7487 for submitting the winning design! For her efforts she will get a complimentary WGA 2008 Geo-Campout T-Shirt.

This is more-or-less what the finished product is going to look like:

Here is a little bit better idea of the actual T-shirt color:

The T-shirt color chosen is called “Sand”.

Good question.

We don’t plan on shipping anybody any of the shirts. If you can, make arrangements with somebody in your area to pick it up for you. If not, we would hold onto the shirts until you could make further arrangements, even if it means bringing them to the picnic in the fall.

Nope, not yet…. The “g” logo is still just another entrant in the logo contest.

Hmmm… excellent design, but unless you are certain that the logo is THE future logo for WGA, I don’t think you should include it on a T-Shirt for a WGA sponsored function. Simply not a wise thing to do for any reason.

On the other hand, if the design is chosen by then and finalized, I’d say include it, but if you don’t have an ABSOLUTE final updated logo by the time the t-shirts are printed, it would be best to use the existing logo.

Don’t take me wrong, I love that logo. I’m just saying it should be approved before a slew of WGA members start wearing them around the state!

I would hope that the WGA board would agree with my sentiments on this…

I agree 100% with this, which is why I voted against this design even though I thought it was the best stylistically. But this is design that the Campout Committee chose. And we simply do not have the time to rework it at this point or we won’t have ANY shirts at the campout.

I guess the shirts may become valuable collector’s items because they feature an alternative WGA logo that was considered by never officially adopted. Order yours today! 😀
