When looking at all the fantastic designs, it is a hard choice!
But my first question is always, “What are my eyes drawn to?”
#12b, in my opinion, has the best eye appeal. You first notice the letters WGA from a distance. On a closer look, you notice the “High Cliff State Park”. Using that, and the coordinates in blue (3rd color), does a nice job of framing the graphics. Having a 3rd color, especially blue, makes it pleasing to look at.
The only modification I would add would be to put a “mark” on the state of Wisconsin at the coordinates.
This is also a compromise choice for those that perhaps didn’t like the new logo, or it’s color scheme. But totally eliminating the logo from the design, in my opinion, would not be appropriate.
Nice job, everyone!
04/21/2009 at 1:31 am #1904529My daughter likes number two for it reminds her of a geocoin and that it fits that 60ish style that seems to be coming back these days.
I like number 4 because it is set up nice and promotes WGA. I’d mark on the state where the event was held. The climbers go with the High Cliff location.
I’m not sure what the significance of the ball/globe in number three, but it has simplicity and color going for it.
Number 5 is hard to read and I always think the guy is holding a chainsaw.
My second vote would be 6a or 6b for it has a fun logo along with a person geocaching.
12b would be number 3. It looks very official and symmetrical.
When will we find out the winner? I’m sure I’ll like whatever you pick. They all look great. I hope everyone had fun.
04/21/2009 at 5:53 pm #1904530My vote would have to go for #10b. The colors are kept simple while keeping the picture alive at the same time.
This statue is located at the heart of the park. I can’t even begin to estimate how many times I’ve sat at its feet and looked out over the lake. It is for these reasons that I have chosen this picture to go all the way.
When is decision time?04/21/2009 at 6:08 pm #1904531My vote is #7. It has all the information (I like the lat/lon) and the new WGA logo. Simple, yet informative.
04/22/2009 at 2:37 pm #1904532How do we lobby the committee???
Since we can only choose 1 I would vote for #7.

04/22/2009 at 3:52 pm #1904533I really like #5. It’s a good thing the vendor can help with the art because whoever drew this is no artist.

just like that! post your comments here.

you can choose more than one right now. The committee needs to narrow the field. express your pros and cons on whichever designs you wish.
and thanks for the feedback!

04/24/2009 at 12:41 pm #1904535Number 7 is my choice
04/24/2009 at 1:02 pm #1904536Personally, I wouldn’t wear any of these designs as a big logo on the front of the shirt. (not my style).
I think #7 would look great as a small logo on the front left of a shirt. And the marshmallow design (#9) on the back.
04/24/2009 at 3:12 pm #1904537I kind of like a combination of #4 and #6a …
#4 – I like the professional / crisp look, but not sure we want to make it look like we’re mountain climbers. Nothing wrong with mountain climbers, I just don’t do that very often when caching 🙂
#6a – I like the guy thinking about an ammo can and walking off the W, but would rather see something rather than a stick figure and a more finished looking logo and state of wisconsin.
… so my vote would be to take #4 and remove the climbers and replace them with a anatomically correct person walking off the W, with a star on #4s wisconsin showing where the event is held.

+1 I only like small logo’s on the front too. I think adding a large logo on the back is a good idea, but I have a feeling that would cost too much.
04/24/2009 at 5:20 pm #1904539Front back, back front; I have a hard enough time getting my shirt on right now. This is getting confusing. People will be walking all over the park not knowing which way they are going.

The tag goes to the back. 😆

The winner will be announced shortly after the deadline. …
Just wondering if a winner has been picked? Don’t know what kind of lead time the vendor needs, but I’m thinking that it might getting pretty tight?
