We just put the 2009 stickers on our two cars, and we now have butterflies floating on our windshields instead of those hopping kids. We are now ready to cache, hike, camp, drive through, attend functions, etc., in ANY of Wisconsin’s state parks for ALL of 2009.

First sticker, full price ($25); sticker for second vehicle at same address, 1/2 price; age 65 and older, 1/2 price. (Wisconsin resident prices) What a bargain! When we bought ours last month, the guy ahead of us had bought 14 stickers. Lots of his friends and family members had a happy Christmas.

So, what are you waiting for? Explore and enjoy! (And no, I don’t work for the DNR or the state–just a satisfied customer year after year.)

I’m not sure I’ll get a state sticker this year if it has butterflies on it. That’s just too girly.

    And yes, I’m kidding. 😀

What part are you kidding about? The “not getting a sticker” or the “girly part?”

We actually got our butterflies in late December, and look forward to another year of enjoying our great parks. Thanks for the great reminder!

Funny, my park sticker is good through March 31, 2009.

I also paid $160.00 for it. It’s well worth the $25 or the $160 !!

Your park sticker has a lot of those “extras” on it that we don’t use. But that’s also worth it to those who use them. 🙂

I don’t know if you were kidding when you asked me to explain so I’ll explain. I was kidding about two things: 1. I will definitely get a state park sticker again this year. In fact, I got one yesterday. 2. I don’t think showing butterflies on the sticker is too girly. Butterflies are part of nature and the outdoors, and to me, the “outdoors” is gender neutral. I wrote this to poke fun ina good-natured way at the WGA members who said back during the logo debacle that they thought the stylized “g” logo was too girly. (Isn’t humor that much more funny when you have to explain it? Yes, I’m kidding again.)

Which part are you kidding about… explaining it… or the humor??

    😉

Without reading onwards, I’m going to guess that the answer is “yes”. 😉
