The WGA is responsible for a number of tasks at the West Bend Cache Ba$h mega event during the weekend of August 13-15.
We need the help and support of WGA members and friends to pull all of these things off. We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the following activities:
– GPS downloads on Friday and Saturday (downloading cache information to attendee GPS units)
– Introduction to Geocaching class on Saturday (take new geocachers to temporary practice geocaches)
– WGA booth on Saturday (sign up new members and make nametags)
– WGA Big Ba$h Breakfast on Sunday morning (need cooks, kitchen helpers, servers, and folks to manage the games)If you would like to help the WGA with any of these activities, please post in this thread or send a PM to Jeremy. A list of volunteers and the activities they are assigned to will be maintained below.
Anyone who assists the WGA during Cache Ba$h weekend will receive a free breakfast on Sunday morning as a thank you.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE!

07/12/2010 at 5:20 pm #1932967Updated the volunteer list. Note to those volunteering for Saturday morning… we are starting at a more reasonable time this year (7am), so you don’t have to roll out of bed so early. Still, there will be free coffee and donuts for the helpers.
07/12/2010 at 5:34 pm #1932968Jeremy,
To avoid confusion, please fold in the data and names from the already existing in the threads in the general forum.
And to be clear, it is fine if you want to include recruiting download volunteers here, but please do not call it a WGA activity. The board discussed this already and agreed that we would help out the West Bend Cash Bash as much as we possibly can, including having a booth Saturday, a geocachng class Saturday, and a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday. However the WGA Board is not responsible for downloads on either Friday or Saturday.
Thanks
zuma
07/13/2010 at 12:10 pm #1932969I can be a pancacke toss operator for the “2nd shift” at the breakfast. My son and/or wife could be the 2nd operator if you’d like.
I’m sorry I cannot volunteer my time for Saturday as I have another non-caching event that my family will be attending most of the day on Saturday. It looks like the Friday downloads are pretty well covered.
07/13/2010 at 2:46 pm #1932970I will help out in whatever time frames you need me so put me whereever!

07/17/2010 at 1:15 am #1932973Sweet averith crew is willing to help me with the sign up awesome. I think we will be able to help out on the pancake breakfest.
08/03/2010 at 8:25 pm #1932974I’m free on Saturday for something. Put me wherever you need me.
08/04/2010 at 4:14 pm #1932975I will not be attending the event.
08/07/2010 at 12:31 pm #1932976Bump.
If you are going to be at the Ba$h next week and want to help with something, please post.
We are especially in need of people to help with downloads Friday afternoon and evening, and to man the WGA booth on Saturday from 4 to 6pm. Additional help at the pancake breakfast would also be welcome.
We also need people to take new geocachers to practice caches from roughly 9:30am to 10:30am Saturday morning. Last year there were close to 20 students in the “Geocaching 101” class, so a number of folks with GPS units they are willing to let others use are needed.
Thanks to everyone who has signed up to help!
