Nice design, Pat. And not a single “FTP” anywhere on the design!

OK. Here’s a design that I submitted. TBC invited us from the thread stealers’ thread to do so. From recent remarks there, I probably should have included a dinosaur or two on the coin, but they were more to the west of Wisconsin. Maybe a wooly mammoth. 🙄 😉

I think the cheese can be colored enamel or the gold/brass metal with the cheese holes/dents in it. The asterisks can be snowflakes or stars, and could be enamel or metal or stones, if they do that.
The spot for the tracking needs to have the white out of it and maybe be a bit smaller. The compass rose doesn’t have letters, but the N and W points that we use for coords in Wisconsin are shown. It could also be taken as the sun rising on the “east coast” of Wisconsin. And I like pine trees. Maybe I should have made them cedar trees. 😉
Mmmmmmmmmmmm cheese 🙂 (I like the cheese idea!!)
You know what would be kinda cool with that too…. a grill (a safe distance away from the tree) with some brats and a cooler 🙂 It is just that when I think of cheese… I think of brats, then brats make me think of grilling, then camping, then caching…. ohhhhhhhhhh it is a down ward spiral!!!!
Definately like the cheese 🙂 !!03/31/2010 at 3:22 am #1924944@koolma_k wrote:

03/31/2010 at 3:30 am #1924945You may have noticed that we now have 2 submissions posted for the contest. YEAH!!
Keep em’ coming in guys n’ gals. There is a lot of creativity out there.
One other thing… We’re trying something new this time. I have opted to leave off the designer’s names on the submission thread. While most who follow this thread will know who’s is who’s I thought it might be interesting to leave off the designer’s name on the submissions until after the member vote.
Credit for all designs will be added to the voting results.
If anyone disagrees with this process and wants the designer’s names listed with the submissions prior to the vote please send me a PM outlining your reasoning and I can share that with the committee.
Thanks everyone. Keep the great ideas rolling…
04/01/2010 at 1:18 am #1924946For the Koomla_K idea I think we should shoot for a deeper evergreen/”packer” green color than the bright John Deere color that is somewhat obnoxious. Otherwise I like that design :o)

I agree… I couldn’t find a Medium green clay, it was either bright or deep dark murky grayish green… blak.. gross
04/01/2010 at 3:37 pm #1924948Reworked my original front design based on feedback. (Thanks!) Any comments via PM before I officially submit would be appreciated.
04/01/2010 at 6:17 pm #1924949I like that one, BakRdz. Very nice.

Still think each design needs a scuba diver, its a group of cachers getting absolutely no love or recognition…harumph…
😛 Laugh everyone, its a good thing….

Looks a little strange with one tire mark, but it would look worse with two and the footprints stopping halfway 😯

WOW! Yup that’s it! Not even going to submit mine now.
What program did you use to design it?04/02/2010 at 1:21 pm #1924953@RSplash40 wrote:

The scuba diver is there he is just under the water. 😉

Kind of like the hitchhiker on a bicentennial quarter?
04/02/2010 at 4:11 pm #1924955Next version. (Thanks for the feedback!) Removed the trails on the front and changed the wording on the back. The “trails” thing just wasn’t working, especially if I added the canoe. Also got the gratuitous compass in there to avoid any potential © issues with the G thingy. Silhouettes are now also raised a bit in relief.

And in case you are wondering……
The scuba guy is under the canoe.
The horseback rider’s horse was scared off the trail by the biker.
The hangglider is above the hikers.
The hiker’s dog is running ahead of them after a rabbit.
The XC skier is REALLY far off in the distance behind the snowshoer, but you can’t see him because its snowing.
Same thing goes for the snowmobile.
…and the canoe didn’t leave any ripples on the back because he hasn’t gotten there yet.Did I miss anything? 😛

Come on… People need choices! You should still send it in.

Rendered it in Adobe Illustrator with a little help from Adobe Photoshop to create the silhouettes. (I have the fun toys and a Mac)
