A huge thanks to Mr. Greenthumb for placing three new caches just down the road from the event:
    GC249EB
    GC249E6
    GC249E9

In addition to those if you have not done the puzzle “Pants on Fire” ( GCWD3F ), it is very close by and now is a good time. If you need a hint on this one feel free to email me or ask around.

Also nearby (also mine) is a Challenge Cache based on EarthCaches: GC1A1Q8. Sign the log now and “Find” it online when you get the req’s filled…and if you stop for this one…

…now would be a decent time to do “Reward for Capture.” ( GC11PT3 ) Other times of the year this one tends to be dicey in terms of ticks.

Have fun at the event and I hope to see ya there…

(my apologies for the shameless self-promotion.)

Those are some nice pictures Brian… thanks for acting as the official event photographer.

Also sorry to the half dozen or so people who arrived after 3pm and discovered the chili had run out. We thought we had made more than enough for 100 people (at least per the recipe that was used). I all can say is blame those that proceeded you :)… they must have had some big appetites and really chowed down to go through probably 60+ pounds of chili so fast.

      It was gone by 2pm.
Not a huge deal though…but yes a bummer. I guess the early bird gets the worm. Still the event was fun and the fire was great.
