2011 WGA Campout at Hartman Creek

    WGA Event Registration Page: http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Events&EventID=392

    Event Cache Page: GC2PJZW

Calling all campers and Geocachers who would like to do both! The WGA has reserved Group Camping sites 3 & 4 and there is still plenty of room for more campers. At half the price of a regular camp site at Harman, it’s a great deal.

If you are planning on camping on the group sites but have not yet registered or paid for your camping please do so now.

For all attending the event (not just the campers), please check out the items available in the WGA Campout Store: http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=CCart There are many different items available.

The campout committee is hard at work planning activities and logistics for a great event. There’s less than 30 days left.

If you have any questions about the Campout event please post them here or in the campout forum: http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=71 or feel free to send me a message and I can get your question answered.

Hope to see all you there!

Reminder – Don’t forget to order your campout gear. Shirts, geocoins, pathtags, and Groundspeak items are all available and with no shipping costs. We’ll have them waiting for you at the campout.

May 1st is the deadline for ordering all items.

May 19th is the deadline for paying for the group site camping fees.

Only 10 days left until the event!!

Many new permanent caches are being placed for the event.

The event is open to all to attend. You do not need to camp nor attend the entire weekend to attend. Stop on by Friday night, or anytime Saturday, or for the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday.

Don’t forget we’re having a separate CITO event (http://coord.info/GC2PW17) on Saturday at Hartman Creek as well. Groups will start at 1pm and 3pm and we will be pulling invasive Garlic Mustard at the park.

Visit the campout event page (http://coord.info/GC2PJZW) for a detailed schedule of events.

If you are planning on camping (or haven’t yet decided!) and have not yet registered and/or paid for a spot on the group camp sites, there’s still plenty of time. Visit the WGA event page (http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Events&EventID=392) to register for camping and the pancake breakfast. And the WGA store (http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=CCart) is still open to pay for camping fees and buy 2010 WGA Geocoins and Campout event pathtags — both can be picked up at the event.

Whether you’re camping or not, also indicate your “Will Attend” on the Geocaching.com Event page to get any last-minute announcement posts made to the event page.

Note: Wisconsin State Parks require a fee for parking and daily/season passes are available at the park office or online. Also, if you are 16+ and are planning to participate in the fishing derby, you must have a valid 2011 WI Fishing License.
