      Well I believe that our TB for the race is gone for good. I was told we can use a proxy TB but would like to know more.

      For instance what happens if the original shows up again?

      Do you have to put the same paperwork with the proxy even though you do not have the original object the TB tag was attached too?

      Just curious and know that the experts out here will have all the right answers.

        Send out the copy. Attach something to it and see how long the 2nd one lasts! Muggling is part of the game…unfortunately. I’ve only seen 1 time where the original appeared after a few years. The race may be over if that happens.

          grab your missing bug from the cache it was in and drop your copy/proxy in a cache of similar D/T. if the original turns up somewhere, the mileage can be manually corrected at the end of the race if necessary.

          Be sure to make it clear that the one you send out now is PROXY or COPY and mention on the TB page that it is a PROXY or COPY and that if the original is picked up, to be sure to mention that in the log.
