I actually turned off my air conditioner this week. Hooray! I had a bunch of yellow leaves falling today while I was outside painting my garage. I felt like cheering! Fall is my favorite time of year in Wisconsin! It can be easy to forget how special it is since we experience it every year here. But two years ago my brother and his family visited from out of state during fall and they were just enchanted by our beautiful fall colors in our forests. It was really fun watching their enthusiasm for our brilliant yellows, reds, oranges and purples light up the woods. Come on, who’s with me? Fall in Wisconsin is AWESOME!

So I’m posting a link to a site I found that reports on fall color around the state. Anyone have a better one? Please share it here. Also, please use this thread to share some pictures of fall colors from around the state that you collect while out caching (or just out and about).

Headed to the Dells Thursday/Friday for some R&R. I’ll be looking for some colors while wearing a WGA sweatshirt!

        Fall…bring it on! 😀

Looks like the Wisconsin DNR is doing a new photo contest for fall. I believe it’s only on their Facebook page, but maybe not. Let’s get some geocaching pictures in there!
